The Joy of Dance professional staff is dedicated to providing quality training to all dance students in a Godly atmosphere. The School focuses on training young dancers in excellence to use their gifts and talents to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. 


The Joy of Dance instruction team is comprised of a wide variety of dance professionals. With backgrounds ranging from certified Checchetti instructors to those using dance to spread the Gospel of Jesus across the globe, the love of both Jesus Christ and the beauty of dance is prevalent.


Owner, Upper School Director, 

Mindy has been the owner of The Joy of Dance since 1999.  She is a certified instructor through the Checchetti Council of America, The Royal Academy of Dancing, and Stott Pilates. She has been dancing since the age of 5.

Cassie Gettles began her training with The Joy of Dance at the age of 10 and was a Teacher Trainee for two years.  Throughout her years of training at The Joy of Dance, Cassie's passion for using the art of dance to worship our Creator has continued to grow! It is in Him that she is able to dance and her desire is to continue to use this gift as a tool to worship, train and disciple young women, and to share the Good News with those who do not know.

Instructor, Assistant Upper School Director

Talia Macy began dancing at the age of three and has trained with The Joy of Dance for fourteen years.   Prior to becoming a ballet instructor, she was a teacher trainee for two years under the leadership of various Joy of Dance instructors. Along with teaching ballet, Talia is a senior in college pursuing an Elementary Education degree with an English language learning endorsement. She is so thankful to continue to be involved with the studio to train up girls in using ballet as a form of worship.


Laura Yoder

Laura started dancing with the Joy of Dance when she was 11 and began teaching in high school. She danced with the Touring Company for many years. In 2006, she attended Ballet Magnificat! summer dance intensive. In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Laura has a passion for dancing to proclaim the gospel and as a form of worship. Her heart is to train up and teach dancers to grow in their technique in a setting that glorifies the Lord.




Charlotte Martin has been dancing since age 5.  She has training in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary.  It was through the Teacher Trainee program at

The Joy of Dance where she discovered her love for teaching. 

Charlotte praises God for the fellowship and community at The Joy of Dance and is thankful for the opportunity to teach and train up girls to be strong, joyful, and graceful young ladies through Christ Jesus.

Rose danced as a student at the Joy of Dance studio for seven years.  During that time, she was a Teacher Trainee for one year, and was a part of the Joy of Dance Touring Company for two years. Throughout her time dancing, she has been blessed to have seen and known Jesus more through the loving discipleship and purposeful instruction of her teachers. Rose desires to share the sweet joy of dance with any who are willing, and to use the discipline and fellowship of dance to share that joy is rooted in the hope and freedom we have found in Christ alone!


Amber Woolsey

Amber has been a student at the Joy of Dance for 13 years, and was a part of the Teacher Trainee Program for 4 years. With training in both ballet and contemporary, Amber is excited to pursue her love of dance and Jesus Christ through teaching. She has a passion for dancing and strives to use it to honor, worship, and glorify Christ. Her main goal in teaching is to disciple dancers, and be an example of how they can use the art of dance to worship Jesus Christ!

Grace Steinborn

Grace has been dancing at The Joy of Dance since the age of 11, studying both ballet and contemporary. Within that time, she was a Teacher Trainee for 3 years. Grace has known the Lord Jesus as her Savior and Creator since the age of 10. She is very excited to share her love of dancing and the joy of Jesus with the students at The Joy of Dance.

Danelle Snitily
Administrative Director

DanL’ Snitily has been involved with The Joy of Dance as a parent for 9 years.  She has enjoyed volunteering throughout those years and will now be joining  us as the Administrative Director.  DanL’ is looking forward to getting to know all of the students and Joy of Dance families.
